We continue the living tradition of crofting into the 21st Century,
following generations who built with stone, wood and turf from the land.

We have spent over three years restoring and rebuilding Mint Croft, keeping the best of the old and combining it with the new. Our mission has been to create warm and inviting interiors where guests can relax in beautiful surroundings.

As ‘new crofters’, this goes hand in hand with our relationship with the land; sustainability and self-sufficiency are as important as the quality and attention to detail in our accommodation and food, our service and atmosphere. Island life means we have to be very adaptable, wearing many caps and turning our hand to whatever comes our way - and we wouldn't have it any other way, it's a living tradition.

We want you to love our cottages so much you don't want to leave but we also want you to discover the island's gems. An Explore the Island Kit - binoculars, maps, guides and locally made walking sticks - will help you on your way. Our Digital Guide – An Insiders Guide to Skye is our top tips for spectacular landscape, incredible wildlife, historical sights, craft makers, cosy pubs with traditional music and renowned restaurants.
